Praia da Mareta
Located in Sagres, Mareta is a very sheltered and often inconsistent beach break. In the Winter it can really turn on and become one of the best options around. It provides a lot of different conditions, from hollow barreling lefts and rights, to fun mellow peaks. A fairly popluar wave that can sometimes get crowded but don't be surprised if it's not.
What to do after surfing? Check out Fortaleza de Sagres, on the southwesternmost point in the European continent. Built in the 15th century by the Infante D. Henrique, it endowed Sagres with a unique role in the history of Portugal. Find out more HERE!
