Cabedelo / Viana do Castelo
This spot is made up by two sand bars, separated by a jetty. On the right side of the jetty you’ll will find a smaller beach, and on the left, a larger one, which extends to the next beach . Given the proximity of the city of Viana do Castelo it has good support infrastructures, although the bay is exposed to the North winds.
What to do after surfing? Check out the Romaria de Nossa Senhora da Agonia (Festival of Our Lady in Sorrow). It's one of the most beautiful religious processions in Portugal and an explosive mixture of colour and happiness that no-one can afford to miss. Find out more HERE!
